Who we are

This website, salvelucrum.net, is operated by Salve Lucrum LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Florida, United States (“Salve Lucrum”, “we”, “us”). For any privacy question, or to exercise any right described below, write to Deutsche Fassung · dominic@salvelucrum.net.

The short version

This is a brochure website. We do not run analytics, we do not set advertising or tracking cookies, we do not operate a login, and we do not sell or share personal data. The contact form does not transmit anything to us or to any server — it opens a message in your own email application, which you choose whether to send.

What we collect

  • Information you email us. If you write to us, we receive whatever you put in that message — typically your name, email address and the content of your enquiry. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the correspondence.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information for every request (IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user-agent). This is used for security and to keep the site running.
  • No cookies set by us. We do not set cookies, and we do not use analytics, advertising, pixels or session tracking.

Processors and third parties

  • Netlify hosts and serves this website and processes the server logs described above.
  • Google Fonts. Typefaces are requested from Google’s font servers when a page loads. That request necessarily discloses your IP address and user-agent to Google. If you would prefer this not to happen, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com in your browser will not otherwise affect the site.
  • Email. Our email is provided through Microsoft 365, with filtering by Proofpoint. Messages you send us are processed by those services.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not disclose it for advertising purposes.

Legal bases (UK/EU visitors)

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries addressed to us, in keeping records of business correspondence, and in operating the website securely. Where you contact us about a possible dealing, we may also rely on steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with the matter and then for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping — normally no more than six years. Server logs are retained for a short period by our host.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our processing, to receive a copy in portable form, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it. Residents of California and certain other US states have comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email dominic@salvelucrum.net. We will not charge you for a reasonable request.

UK and EU residents may also complain to their supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, our providers rely on the transfer mechanisms available to them, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Children

This website is directed at businesses and professional investors. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
